Scripps Spelling Bee Winners

Back in December, all 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders who were interested were invited to participate in the Spelling Bee preliminary rounds. During these competitions, students demonstrated impressive preparation, focus, and courage as they tackled increasingly challenging words. From each grade level, the top five spellers advanced to the finals, earning their place through determination and hard work.
The finals took place this past week and showcased the incredible talent and perseverance of our students. We are so incredibly proud of every participant who stepped up to compete, support one another, and represent their grade level with confidence and sportsmanship. After 13 intense rounds, six finalists remained and advanced to the written portion of the Bee, where they were challenged with words they had never seen before, pushing their skills to the highest level.
We are thrilled to share that Mahika, a fifth-grade student, will be representing our school at the Regional Level, and Aayan, a fourth grader, earned the distinction of runner-up. Their dedication, resilience, and love of language truly shone throughout the competition, and we could not be prouder.
Our Spelling Bee is proudly part of the Scripps National Spelling Bee, a long-standing academic program that celebrates vocabulary, critical thinking, and a passion for words. Through this experience, students build confidence, perseverance, and a deeper appreciation for language, skills that extend far beyond the competition itself and a special thank you to the HSA for organizing this event!
Congratulations to all of our spellers for an outstanding showing!
